Hi friends!! I want to discuss about something very important. You might be knowing about PDF files very well but you know the most important use of it in todays world is e-books. Most of the e-books today are available in PDF format and so the purchase of the hard copies has decreased many fold. Anyways, that is not our headache, of course, headache is the non-availability of the PDF reader in case we desperately want to read our favorite book. As far as computer is concerned PDF readers are easily available but the problem arises if we talk about the mobile phone. PDF readers are not meant for all the mobile phones. Low configuration mobile phones hardly accept PDF reader softwares because of their limitations in terms of their firmware. But those mobile phones are java enabled and so .jar or .jad files are expected to be supported. So the whole idea is to convert a pdf file into a jar file and then enjoy the full e-book without any limitations.
The conversion procedure is not so easy or better say that the direct conversion software is not available. We need to go through two separate steps:-
1) conversion of the pdf file into a text file:- You can use one of the following websites for the purpose:-
2) Conversion of text file to jar or jad file:- Best software available for this purpose is "Tequila cat".
After downloading extract the .zip file to your computer. Now, Open Shell.exe to convert ebooks. Choose the correct phone type, Add book and make necessary adjustments to your eBook. Transfer your converted ebooks to ur phone… via bluetooth, cable, irda etc. Install the java ebook to your phone. Open it to read the eBook.
1) Unlike PDF, whatever be the size of screen the .jar file will wrap the text exactly according to the screen size. Hence, the user can read the e-book comfortably.
2) Every book you converted will become standalone, that means that you can read them without having to install any additional reader application just like other java files.
So, happy reading!!
